I like using the My Server app to see the status of the server on Windows [RT] 8.1, but I'm not sold on the Remote Desktop app. Compared to the desktop version of Remote Desktop, the Windows Store version requires that you use the Options bar for special controls. When you run the desktop version full-screen, but takes over the controls for the Charms bar, Options bar, etc., and redirects it to the remote machine instead of keeping it local.
I wish you could use the My Server app, but have the remote connection stuff connect into the desktop version of Remote Desktop so that you don't have to fiddle with the Option bar in that app to activate Start in the remote machine, or bring up the keyboard, and such. I understand the limitations of the WinRT API's and that it's impossible to get the same functionality of the desktop version of Remote Desktop in the Windows Store version, so is it possible to get My Server to launch the desktop version instead?
