I've noticed that every day when the backup starts on my client computer, the backup keeps increasing in size despite the fact that the client computer's hard drive has not changed at all. The automatic backup cleanup I set in the retention policy (5 days) does not seem to be working either, because when I run cleanup, it doesn't get rid of backups after the 6th day. Even when I manually set some of the backups to delete in the client computer properties when cleanup runs, the size on disk actually increases. You would think it would be the opposite because I'm deleting 4 days worth of incremental backups. The amount of disk space I lose is about 10GB per backup, and sometimes slightly more when I try to clean the backups up with the cleanup task. This is on a backup that is around 700GB split across three separate drives on one client computer. Does anyone know why this is happening?
