Using remote web access without connector software.

Hi, I currently want to use a couple of bits from windows server experience while phasing out an SBS 2008 server.

I don't want client PC backups or reporting, or anything that requires the connector software. I absolutely do not want the connector software at all. Not a bit.

I just want to replace the ability for users to remote into pc's -from RWW on SBS 2008 to remote web access in 2012 wse experience. I don't care about shared folders etc.

However, I am unable to assign computers to users, as I have no devices showing - I'm guessing this is because I'm not using the connector software on PC's?

Is it possible to get them to show so that I can use this, or should I go down a vanilla remote desktop gateway route instead?

I don't see why having the connector software should stop this from working, connector software was never needed on any previous versions.

thanks RIchard
