I have a new Server 2012 Essentials machine (clean install), and I am attempting to connect three machines, all of which had previously been connected to a Windows Home Server 2011 machine. I've removed the connector software for the old WHS 20111
server from all these client machines. There's one Windows 8 and two Windows 7 machines - all "professional" editions of the respective OS. I can map drives from the new server on all three of these machines, so the new server can be
accessed easily.
As with many others who have posted here, on one machine (the Windows 8 machine) I cannot get the connector program to install at all - "The Server is not Available." On the two Windows 7 machines the connector software did install, but after rebooting and being asked to log in to the new server I get the same error ("The Server is not Available") and the machine then goes back to its local log-in screen.
