Hey guys,
I just got a brand new dell server with windows server 2012 essentials on it to replace my aging win2k3 SBS box. I know i can do a migration, but I am wondering if it would be easier or less error prone to just start the network from scratch? I only have 4 users. All running windows 7 pro.
Will my client PCs join the new domain OK?. I plan on making the domain the same name. So should i disconnect all client PC's first (remove them from the domain), setup server, then reconnect them?
Will the user with all their profiles still be on the client PCs and just connect to the new server? With SBS it would transfer their mydocs etc to their profile when you connect.
Any help/advice is greatly appreciated.
