I have run the anywhere access setup wizard including setting up a xxx.remotewebaccess.com domain. The Wizard runs okay but is unable to set up the modem. However I have manually set up the modem and ensured that port 80 and 443 are forwarded to the server
IP address. I have the checked that the ports can be seen externally on the server. However when I try to access the anywhere access service I get the "this page cannot be displayed" in error in the browser. When I ping the xxx.remotewebaccess.com
domain I get a IP address that is not the external static IP address for the server. Somehow this is not being set up. If I carry out the same process on another Server 2012 R2 essentials system I support I have no issues and anywhere access just works.
I suspect the server is not able to communicate with the router/modem and it does not support UPNP. Any help overcoming this issue is most welcome.
