I have a home server running Microsoft Server 2012 R2 Essentials installed on a 250GB SSD. I would like to create an image of this system drive, preserving all the activation information, so, if the SSD dies, I can purchase another SSD, burn the image, and be back in business.
Would a tool such as clonezilla work for this situation, or are there better alternatives?
Else, is there a better way to create a full system drive backup which preserves the registration information that I can restore if my SSD dies?
Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to provide.
