I am replacing a Linksys E3000 router with a Cisco EA6500 Smart router. The current E3000 works fine - my son needs a router so I am giving him that one and will be getting an EA6500 as a replacement.
Is anyone using the EA6500 with WHS Essentials 2012? If so, any configuration issues that I should be aware of when it comes to remote access? Since the routers or so different (even though they are from the same company), I am pretty sure that there might be some 'gotchas' that I should be aware of.
Aside from the router configuration, since I am replacing a router with another one, is there anything special that needs to be done to the server itself? Any current configuration file that is located on the server that needs to be deleted or reset before I can install a new router?
