Hi all,
I am currently installing Windows 2012 Essentials in a new server to replace our old 2003. I followed this tutorial:
http://blogs.technet.com/b/sbs/archive/2014/02/21/deploying-windows-server-2012-r2-essentials-in-an-existing-active-directory-environment.aspx
but when I get to the step where I need to configure the server (Configure Windows Server Essentials wizard) the window pops up saying that everything is ok, but when I click on Configure, the wizard fails. There is no error message in the window (apart fom the generic "every, and nothing in any logs I have been able to look at. I have been at this for two days, to no avail. There is nothing anywhere that I could find, and the couple of solutions that I have been able to find I've already tried without success. So, my question is where can I look for possible errors in the installation. There is nothing in the system logs and neither under Windows\logs. If I can't solve this problem, I would much rather remove the wizard altogether, unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any way to do that.
It's too bad, because I really wanted to like Windows 2012, but it's proving to be another case of "we'll make your life easier, as long as nothing fails".
