VPN was not configured succesfully

Hi,

I'm installed a Windows 2012 Essentials server at my wife's small office, and trying to sort out the Anywhere Access.  When configuring for both RWA and VPN, the wizard constantly reports "VPN was not configured successfully".  And I'm running out of ideas to trouble shoot.  Can anyone help?

RWA works fine.  Can access the server, files and so on.  Can also RDP successfully onto the admin desktop app too.  But VPN refuses.

- We have a fixed IP address and a fast SSDL fibre connection to the internet (supplied as part of a business centre)

- We do not have access to the router (its a managed service) but I am informed that the following ports 25, 80, 443, 987, 1723 and 3389 are al being forwarded to the server

- Haven't got any anti-virus on the server yet so, not blocking stuff.  That's the next job after getting VPN working

- Is there a particular protocol that the router may be refusing or blocking

- Is there a way that I can check the port settings? given that RWA and RDP is OK, that means it must be the VPN port or another problem?

Anyone able to offer some suggestions

Many thanks
